Smooth, Long-Lasting Results

If you’re tired of the hassle of waxing, it’s time to consider laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is a highly effective method of hair removal that targets every hair follicle, providing smooth and even results.

At Boca Laser & Medical Spa we use a diode laser, which is very effective for light and dark skin and can either permanently reduce the density of the hair or permanently remove unwanted hair.

Our licensed and certified providers have the training, skill and experience necessary to deliver high-quality results that never sacrifice your safety.

Why Laser Hair Removal Beats Waxing

While waxing may seem like the go-to option for hair removal, it’s not always the most effective or convenient method. Here are a few reasons why laser hair removal may be a better choice:

  • Better results. Unlike waxing, which can leave patches of hair and missed spots, laser technology can be adjusted to target specific hair colors and skin tones.
  • Long-term results. The laser targets the hair follicles, damaging them and preventing future hair growth, so you can enjoy long-lasting results with just a few sessions.
  • Less expensive over time. Laser hair removal may have a higher upfront cost than waxing, but it saves you time and money on regular waxing appointments, razors and other hair removal products.
  • Fewer risks and side effects. Waxing can cause skin irritation, ingrown hairs and even infections. Laser hair removal doesn’t involve pulling or tugging on the skin.
  • More comfortable. A cooling gel protects the skin while the laser emits a gentle pulse of light. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild tingling or snapping.

Laser Hair Removal FAQs

How many treatments do I need?

Because not all hair follicles will be actively growing at any one given moment, a series of 4 to 8 sessions can offer the most effective results.

Am I an ideal candidate for laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal can now work on all skin tones, however may not be effective on those with gray or very light blonde hair.

Are there side effects?

There do not appear to be any long-term health risks associated with the procedure. You may experience mild redness or swelling right after treatment.

What equipment do you use?

Diode: The diode laser is very effective for light and dark skin, can either permanently reduce the density of the hair or permanently remove unwanted hair.

Is downtime necessary?

Immediately after having laser hair removal, your treated skin will be red and swollen. This should only last 1 to 7 days. Avoid sun exposure. Don’t use bleaching creams or perfume products for 24 hours.

Does laser hair removal work forever?

Laser hair removal does not guarantee permanent hair removal. You may need maintenance.
